About Privacy Protection
Whois privacy, often referred to as Privacy Protection, is a service that safeguards the personal information of individuals or entities who register domain names. When you register a domain, your contact details, including name, address, email, and phone number, are traditionally made publicly available in the Whois database β a directory used to identify and contact domain owners. However, this openness can expose registrants to spam, unsolicited marketing, and privacy risks.
To address these concerns, Whois privacy provides a solution. When you turn Privacy Protection βOnβ, your sensitive information is shielded from public view.
Although Whois privacy is beneficial for reducing spam and safeguarding personal information, it's essential to remember that it might not be suitable for situations requiring transparent contact information, such as legal matters or business-related communications.
